Portrait Photography
 Our approach to shooting children's and family portraits is also very simple. We try to let our subject's expressions and emotions show through, without anyone looking too posed or stiff.  This entails making our clients feel as comfortable as possible, either in a studio setting or a unique location of your choice.
We want you to be happy with the final result, so it is important that you are involved in choosing the "backdrop" for your portrait. We prefer to use natural settings, such as a home or a yard rather than an arranged "set", but circumstances do not always permit this. When we are in a studio setting, we generally use simple, hand-painted backdrops and props that don't distract the viewer from the real beauty of our subjects. 
All of us here at Lori Joyce Photography understand that when it comes to taking pictures of children or large groups, it is not always easy to get everyone looking perfect at the same time. To achieve this takes a lot of patience. It often takes some time for everyone to feel comfortable and relaxed, and we are willing to spend whatever time is required for you to walk away with beautiful, high-quality photographs that will preserve your treasured memories forever.
