About Lori Joyce Photography
To Lori Joyce, being a photographer is more than just a way to make a living. "I have been taking pictures for as long as I can remember," she admits. "I could never imagine myself doing anything else." After graduating from the Rochester Institute of Technology with a BFA in 1986, Lori moved to Buffalo, getting her start shooting weddings for friends. This early work led to a growing list of loyal clients, an expansion into portrait and corporate photography, and the eventual creation of Lori Joyce Photography in 1988.
Since then, Lori has surrounded herself with a staff that possesses a similar philosophy and passion for photography. One of the core rules of the business is to let a subject's personality shine through without constant direction from the photographer, to get a feel for the individual or group without being intrusive or imposing.
At Lori Joyce Photography, each task is done by a company full of highly qualified people that absolutely love their job, from choosing lighting and backgrounds straight through to the darkroom.
